Here’s another submission I did as a guest podcast for miamidanceparty.com and posted 4/27. The tracks highlight a lot of the fun, funky, and very danceable tracks I’ve been digging on lately as well as some of the more techy and deep persuasion — all of which mesh for a great summer mix start to finish!

Impromptu Mix 2

This is not an April Fools… 6 pack in hand I fired up the recorder to mix some new tunes and this is what came out. The mix meanders through some tech house before finishing out a little on the deep end.

Some of the mixes are a bit risque, but I enjoy the challenge of holding each of the mixes together on my own and the uniqueness it creates.

Winter Break Mix

This is a mix that I put together as a guest podcast for miamidanceparty.com to coincide with a tour of the dirty south (ie. taking a sabbatical from the Michigan deep freeze). The set is a well-mixed collection of tracks that bounces around from deep grooves to progressive house and driving techno.

Impromptu Mix 1

I was hanging out at the house on a Saturday night with a pair of unused 40oz beers when I decided to record an impromptu mix, so I did. While it’s not a technical masterpiece it is a showcase of any time any track mixing featuring some nice tech house cuts that you can just plop in the CD player and let play.

Progressive Mix (March Promo)

I recorded this mix with the intent of just handing it out to a few friends, however after handing out about 20 copies and getting requests for more I’ve decided to post it up for everyone.

NYE Promo

The one word which describes this mix: intense. Put this together on New Years Eve 2006 as a promo to hand out at a party I played that evening. It started out on a funkier tech tip, but at about the 1/2 way point progressed into a full on NRG assault.

Recorded live at the IPMRadio.com/NewDetroitRadio.com Summer Sizzle Labor Day weekend party. The weather sucked, but not even Hurricane Ernesto was going to stop this outdoor party from rockin! Started the set with some bumping techno to appease the Detroit crowd, and moved into some older hard dance tracks which I haven’t heard in a while…

This mix started out as a live set broadcast to some friends on IRC but turned out so well I decided to package it up and officially release it. The mix is full on energy, progressing from techy NRG into bangin’ trance and beyond.

Starts off with some banging techno a-la Marco Bailey, moves through some older tracks I had a request for, and then back into some newer hard trance to finish off the night rockin out.

I was in a pissy mood all night and think that shows through… Starts off with some really dark acid techno, working towards some hard trance, and rounding out the evening with a classic defunkt end of the night banging trance track.
